Globe Sucks!
I have always been a Globe-user. Though Smart undoubtedly has the lead now in the mobile telecom industry, no one can question the prestige and premium-feeling attached to Globe. In fact, Globe is almost a quasi-love mark. When Sun Cellular came, I almost made the switch, but later on, I decided to stay. After all, I realized that for some reason, the touch of the Ayalas’ always had a tinge of gold (with the exception of Touch Mobile or TM).
Anway, aside from the fact that I thought leaving Globe would make me so “masa”, I did not switch to Sun because at that time, they began offering their Unlimitxt service. I really loved this counter-offer which not only made me refuse to switch but decrease my use of Chikka as well. That’s why I got really pissed when Globe cut down Unlimitxt and offered the scheming Unlitxt services instead. That issue was so hot that the likes of TxtPower filed a compliant against them (I’m unsure if they won though).
Now, it seems like Globe has once again felt the need for greed. Just like the Grinch, they have now popped the already dampened Christmas spirits of the Filipinos (read as Glorietta Bombing Explosion, Stronger Peso (Weaker OFW Purchasing Power), Manila Pen Siege) by now scrapping Unlitxt and offering the shrewder (read as garapal) Sulitxt service.
I have been informed by my trusted sources that this move is only temporary. This is just a way to control their gross profit during Christmas. We all know how many SMS we Pinoys send daily. Multiply it by a million and you can just imagine how many texts there are in the airwaves come Christmas. And so, the Globe guys just did the math and - voila - Sulitxt.
Honestly, this is just bad marketing. Even though Globe might be pure at heart and intentions as an organization, I can still foresee this Sulitxt thing becoming permanent. And so, as a form of appreciation for all the business Pinoys have given to Gglobe for the rest of the year, why can’t Globe just absorb temporary loss and be fair (the way it was before)?
So why delay the inevitable? Let Sulitxt be permament as early as now! As for all other consumers like moi who are so sick and tired of all these crap, let us all switch to Sun Cellular as soon as possible! This time, I swear Mr. Gokongwei, you can count on a new subscriber on me come January 2008. Just promise mo though you will not follow Mr. Ayala and Mr. Pangilinan’s paths.
Anyway, guys and girls of all ages. Why not give SUN PREPAID SIM CARDS on Christmas Day? It’s very cheap and, given the situation, will be deeply appreciated! Heck, I’d be more than happy if I received one myself! To guys at Sun Cellular, feel free to follow my this idea! Hahaha!
They’re making their move to mobile instant messaging. SMS is cheap for the handset but expensive on the backend side.

Globe has always been great. its just that they are too greedy it sucks! they know they are the best and they don’t know how to re-pay the people who in fact made them the best. GLOBE TELECOM you guys better start thinking before you start loosing you clients keep your feet on the ground. Good things come to good people.
