Bite Me

I haven’t been a great fan of energy drinks since my derma informed me that these drinks induce acne. Now, who wants acne?

Anyway, I would just like to commend Asia Brewery for coming up with Cobra Energy Drink. I am not so sure if this is a local franchise of the other Cobra Energy Drink with a high Google Page Rank, but who cares? Simply put, I love your product.

First of all, I love the fact that it is cheap. 10 pesos? It’s really going to kick Extra Joss’ butt. In fact, it may even be cheaper. After all, what is Extra Joss but a powdered energy drink? Unless you’re at home or you don’t care where your drinking water comes from, chances are you’re gonna have to pay an extra P10 for H20. So that can easily translate to P16 to P17 out of your pocket. The guy who thought about utilizing glass bottles for Cobra is a sheer marketing genius. Not only does it minimize cost passed on to the consumers, it does invoke a feeling of coolness since it is shaped like a beer bottle. I’m no heavy beer drinker, but everytime I drink it, I feel like I am. I’ve read my own share of Red Bull success tips and I know for sure you guys did, too. Let’s just pray that the beer effect I felt about Cobra would have the same effect on the younger market. If it does, it would be deja vu time again for all of us!

Second, I really think your product works. But that’s just me. And I may be fooled. But who cares, right?

Anyway, just a warning. It seems like your product is experiencing a lot of resistance at the distribution level. For some reason, my fave sari-sari store did not have it for weeks! Just do your homework and let’s pray for success. I smell success guys, and so should you!
